K-Pals

Once a week we will be meeting our Kindergarten pals to read to them or do other activities with them. 


Adoptive Grandparents

08/13/13

We will be going to the Good Samaritan Nursing Home once a month.  Each student will be given 1-2 residence that they will visit and play games with.  The residence look forward to us visiting.  If your child wants to make anything for their adoptive grandparent they are welcome to.  We will make seasonal art projects for them every month as well.   They love the items that we bring to them. 


D.A.R.E.

D.A.R.E. will focus on 5 key topics:

  • self-awareness and management
  • responsible decision making
  • understanding others
  • relationship and communication skills
  • handling responsibilities and challenges

Deputy Misar will be implementing the D.A.R.E program this year.  D.A.R.E. will be once a week for 10 weeks.  There will be a D.A.R.E. graduation when all the schools have completed the program.

ABOUT MRS. BECKER

  • My husband, Heath, and I have been married for 15 years and live in Canistota.
  • We have 3 children: Natalie, Ellie, and Carter.
  • I love spending time with my family: camping, watching the Broncos, reading, and playing cards and games.
  • I have been teaching for 15 years.
  • I have my Masters in Education and a Reading Specialist degree.
  • I enjoy running races including full marathons and half marathons.
